Poller Fischerhaus in Cologne

We have been eating here many times, it tastes very good every time. Very nice staff, wonderful atmosphere.

The Poller Fischerhaus is a traditional pub with outdoor catering and a small but fine menu for classic dishes (schnitzel, currywurst, fries, fried potatoes). Quaint and tasty, also suitable for smaller groups.

For us an absolute must when we are in Cologne, nice relaxed atmosphere, delicious Kölsch, delicious currywurst and much more. .... see you next year ?

So I have to say, the food was okay, portion too, the waiter was a little restrained at the beginning and came across as a bit strange. But was then very attentive quickly and then after the first impression, surprisingly friendly. Price was great. One more star would have been given for excellent food and the non-existent first impression ...

Totally unfriendly, unsympathetic waiter. Sauce wasn't that tasty. The schnitzel was greasy.

You sit here very comfortably and everything looks very inviting. But the dishes weren't quite convincing. The schnitzel, for example, gives the impression of a deep-fried finished product. The spit roast was very good.

The food was lukewarm, the schnitzel was not completely done. Even after the schnitzel went back, it was still not done. Champion cream sauce lukewarm. Salad rather mixed. Currywurst was good. Two drinks were not charged because of the complaint. Too bad, would have liked to give more stars. But even the two are actually too much.

We were here the day before that smelled of delicious freshly prepared food, but today we got all four fish well enough there was salmon but not what kind the other three forrel. Cozy beer garden (food and drinks) close to the river and a camping site. You'll meet a lot of locals hwre as well as tourists from the camping site or cyclists on the way further up or down the river. Food is not fancy, but very good and the size of the portions is enough for even VERY hungry visitors. :-)

Food was good, great to sit outside and the schnitzel portions are very large. Satisfied all round. The toilets are a bit shabby.

Rustic and no longer an insider tip, even if you have to know how to get there. Nicely located despite the motorway bridge, of which you can see nothing through the lush greenery. Food adjusted and more than adequate.

Uniquely decoration, similar to a British country pub.

We were camping by the river so this restaurant is very convenient. Food was good. The menu says XL and it means it! Some reviews complain about the staff, but this is an out of the way place, is busy and has lots of regular customers. Make your own mind up. We liked it.

Absolutely terrible service, the waitress directed my family and my to a shared table, we asked instead for a table.just for us and the waitress ROLLED HER EYES THREW THE MENUS on a private table leaving with the worse face ever. Food was ok, nothing espectacular but service doesn't even deserve one star.

As others have said LOTs of food. It was great to see the camaraderie of people with the unexpected thunderstorm trying to help the staff get things sorted. Would we go back again - yes.

Excellent basic food,far too much, but well prepared by the nice hosts. A lovely meal was had by all, us parents enjoyed the 80s greatest hits

The restaurant is well located and the food is cheap. Unfortunately, the service and bar is understaffed. The selection is kept small.

Be sure to try the tasty snitzels but don't go for the satt formula because then you will not get 2 but an unlimited number of tasty snitzels.

Wonderful, charmed little place and i thoroughly enjoyed the burger! Met a wonderful local woman and her husband and dogs who spoke more about the area, just wish I had another night for those rare connections!

Food was not great, only three fish dishes. two of them are cold. hamburger I got was not great and had to ask table besides us for forks and tissues. Edit: Just wanted to edit my review because my girlfriend got foodpoisoning the day after we ate here.. nasty place and poisonous food, would never eat here again

God city camping

Great cozy atmosphere, solid honest food.

Nice quite place to enjoy a more typical german mral than in the center. The food was very good and affordable. The staff was nice and they have English menu if you ask them. The beer was refreshing and you can see the rhin for the terrasse.
